Drone strike hits enterprise in Russia’s Krasnodar region, injures one

A drone attack on an enterprise in Russia’s Krasnodar region has left one person injured and triggered a fire at the site, regional authorities confirmed on May 13.

According to the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region, debris from a drone fell on the territory of an industrial facility in the settlement of Volna in the Temryuk district.

“According to preliminary information, one person was injured. He is receiving the necessary assistance. A fire broke out involving equipment on the enterprise’s premises. Emergency response and special services are working at the scene,” the authorities said in a statement.

Emergency services deployed 96 personnel and 29 units of equipment, including teams from the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s regional department, to contain the blaze and secure the area.

Officials later reported that additional drone debris was discovered in several locations in the nearby village of Taman.

In those incidents, one person also sustained injuries but did not require hospitalisation after receiving on-site medical assistance. Damage was also reported to residential property, including shattered windows at a private home and structural damage to a summer kitchen.

Authorities said emergency response teams continue to work at all affected sites as investigations and cleanup operations proceed.
