Drone threat halts Armenian PM’s landing in Moscow
11 December 2025 11:01
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s government plane was unable to land in Moscow due to the closure of airspace, Armenian media reported, as cited by Caliber.Az.
The aircraft reportedly circled over Russia’s Tver region for nearly an hour but did not receive permission to land because of a drone attack threat. The disruption has affected more than 170 flights in total. As a result, Pashinyan’s plane was diverted and safely landed at St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport.
The Armenian prime minister is travelling to Moscow to participate in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Intergovernmental Council meeting.
