Eagle Partner 2025: Armenia, US about to begin joint peacekeeping drills
The week-long Armenian-American military exercises “Eagle Partner 2025” are set to start in Armenia today, August 12.
According to the Armenian Defence Ministry’s press service, Armenian military personnel will train until August 20 to prepare for participation in international peacekeeping missions, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The exercises will involve servicemen from the Armenian Peacekeeping Brigade, the U.S. Army’s Europe and Africa commands, and the Kansas National Guard.
The manoeuvres focus on training and conducting peacekeeping operations, with a special emphasis on medical evacuation procedures.
The stated goals of the exercises are to improve the interoperability of units involved in international peacekeeping missions, exchange best practices in command and tactical communication, and enhance the readiness of the Armenian Armed Forces’ peacekeeping unit.
Eagle Partner, scheduled to take place from August 12 to 20, has been held annually in Armenia since 2023.
Yesterday, August 11, US Air Force KC-135R aircraft with American ground forces on board landed in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan.
