An earthquake in northwestern Iran has killed three people and injured at least 816 others.
The occurrence already killed three people and injured at least 816 others, the Iranian ISNA news agency reports.
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement have expressed its readiness to send equipment and manpower to the quake-affected areas if necessary.

The earthquake that struck the Khoy region of northwestern Iran last night has so far injured a total of 644 people.
As reported by Trend, this was stated by the head of the Emergency Management Organization of Iran, Mohammad Hassan Nami.
According to Nami, the victims are currently in hospitals, adding, that 70 villages have been damaged in the Khoy District, with up to 60% of the houses in the villages having been destroyed.
Only two people have been killed.
The 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck northwestern Iran on January 29. The epicentre of the earthquake was located 8 km southwest of the Hoi region. The source lay at a depth of 15 km.
