Earthquake jolts northwestern Türkiye, injuring 22 PHOTO

An earthquake has struck Türkiiye’s northwestern Balıkesir province, leaving 22 people injured after they jumped from balconies in panic, the province's Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu has announced.
The governor said four of the injured have already been discharged from hospitals, Caliber.Az informs, citing TRT Haber.

At least three buildings previously damaged in an earlier tremor collapsed during the quake. No fatalities or individuals trapped under debris have been reported.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) stated that the earthquake was centred in Sındırgı town, striking at 22:48 local time at a depth of 5.99 kilometres.
