Earthquake jolts Türkiye
An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 has been recorded in the Turkish city of Kahramanmaras.
The earthquake was registered at 07:38 on June 8 in the area of Andirin Kahramanmaras, Caliber.Az cites the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management as saying on Twitter.
The earthquake is reported to have occurred at a depth of 6.9 km.
More than 50,000 people were killed in two powerful earthquakes that struck southern Türkiye on February 6.
The 7.7- and 7.6-magnitude quakes that were centered in Kahramanmaras province, affected more than 13 million people across 11 provinces.
Several countries in the region, including Syria and Lebanon, also felt the strong tremors that struck in less than 10 hours.
