Earthquake of magnitude 4.3 strikes Balıkesir, Türkiye
An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 hit the Balıkesir province in Türkiye, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) reported.
The tremor occurred at 15:41 local time in the Sındırgı district, with its epicentre located at a depth of 14.13 kilometres.
No immediate reports of casualties or significant damage have been released.
The latest tremor follows the late October 27 quake in the same region that left 22 people injured after they panicked and jumped from balconies. Four of the injured have since been discharged from hospitals. At least three damaged buildings collapsed after the tremor, though no fatalities or individuals trapped under debris were reported. That quake was centred in Balikesir's Sındırgı town, striking at a depth of 5.99 kilometres.
