Ecology minister plants trees at Azerbaijan Park in Islamabad
During his visit to Islamabad, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and COP29 President, Mukhtar Babayev, attended a tree planting ceremony at the Azerbaijan Park.
Babayev, alongside Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to the Pakistani Prime Minister on climate change, planted a tree, symbolizing the shared commitment to environmental conservation, Caliber.Az reports citing AZERTAC.
The ceremony also saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries from the Pakistani government, along with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov.
Addressing media representatives, Babayev discussed his meetings with the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan as part of his visit. He highlighted discussions revolving around issues pertinent to COP29, scheduled to take place in Baku later this year.
