Brotherly nations unite: Azerbaijani forces welcomed in Türkiye for winter drills VIDEO

Turkish military personnel held a warm welcoming ceremony for their Azerbaijani counterparts who arrived to participate in the joint military exercise "Winter Exercise-2025."

The Turkish Ministry of National Defence shared the news on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, per Caliber.Az.

"We will continue to work together with Azerbaijan under the motto ‘One nation, two states'," the ministry noted.

"Tek Millet, İki Devlet” anlayışımızla “tek yürek, tek bilek, tek yumruk” olarak çalışmaya devam edeceğiz!

The ministry confirmed that Azerbaijani forces had travelled to Türkiye to join the exercises, which will take place in Kars.

In a related statement, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence noted that the two nations held a symbolic flag exchange ceremony in preparation for the event. The ceremony was conducted in accordance with the bilateral military cooperation agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

As part of the event, the banner platoon of Azerbaijan’s Separate Combined Arms Army marched from Nakhchivan City, crossing the Sadarak border checkpoint and the Umid Bridge over the Araz River. Meanwhile, the banner platoon of the Turkish Armed Forces marched from Kars to the designated ceremony venue, marking the start of their joint efforts for the exercise.

The "Winter Exercise-2025" reflects the close ties and ongoing military collaboration between the two allied nations, reinforcing their shared commitment to regional security and unity.
