Minister: Azerbaijan-Georgia relations at forefront of high-level talks
The strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia will be a key focus during the upcoming meeting between the Prime Minister of Georgia and the President of Azerbaijan, said Georgia's Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili.
According to the minister, today will see the 10th session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the two countries, an important platform under the leadership of the prime ministers of Georgia and Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
"The meeting will involve members of both governments. Naturally, we will address all issues in our bilateral relations, particularly the strategic partnership in various sectors that bind Georgia and Azerbaijan together," Botchorishvili stated.
She added that, high-level discussions will take place, with the Prime Minister of Georgia meeting the President of Azerbaijan to address all critical matters necessary for further strengthening our relations.
To recall, on January 17, Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia, arrived in Azerbaijan for his first official foreign visit. During his stay, he will co-chair the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
Kobakhidze’s delegation includes key Georgian officials such as Levan Davitashvili, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, David Songulashvili, the Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Tinatin Rukhadze, the Minister of Culture, and Levan Jorjoliani, the Head of Government Administration.
The visit highlights the ongoing collaboration between the two countries in various sectors.
