Edelweiss-95 oil depot catches fire in Russia’s Krasnodar Region

An oil depot operated by Krasnodar-based fuel company Edelweiss-95 LLC caught fire in Russia’s Krasnodar Region following a reported drone attack overnight on September 28, according to an OSINT analysis by ASTRA.

Residents of the stanitsa of Novotitarovskaya reported seeing drones and hearing multiple explosions during the night. According to eyewitnesses, the explosions occurred in the area of a railway line.

ASTRA analysed footage recorded by local residents and identified the burning facility as the Edelweiss-95 oil depot.

The company specialises in the wholesale supply of petroleum products, including Euro-5 diesel fuel and AI-92, AI-95 and AI-100 petrol.

The depot has a storage capacity of 4,500 cubic metres and is equipped with its own railway siding for receiving and loading fuel.

According to information published on Edelweiss-95’s website, the company has been selling fuel for around 30 years and purchases petroleum products directly from major Russian oil refineries.

The company says its own depot enables it to provide prompt access to its full range of products and ship fuel within one working day.
