Elections in Türkiye not up to expectations of Armenian community
16 May 2023 14:38
Turkish MP of Armenian origin Garo Paylan said on social networks that he was disappointed with the results of the first round of elections in Türkiye and believes that if Recep Erdogan wins, the normalisation of relations with Armenia will become more complicated.
Paylan has stated that the results of the latest elections did not meet the expectations of the Armenian community, Caliber.Az reports with reference to Armenian media.
“The Armenians of Türkiye are in fear. Until 2015, we talked about our problems, but now the Armenians are silent. We hoped for changes as a result of these elections, but this did not happen. Unfortunately, during this period the voice of the Armenians will not be heard,” Paylan said.
