Elections to Kazakhstan parliament underway in Baku

More than 140 citizens of Kazakhstan, permanently and temporarily residing in Azerbaijan, are taking part in the parliamentary elections for Kazakhstan.

Voting started at 7 am (Baku time) at polling station 262 opened at the embassy, with observers from the CIS Parliamentary Assembly overseeing the proceedings, Report informs, citing the Kazakh embassy in Baku.

The Kazakh citizens, who are on consular registration and are presently in Baku for various reasons, including business trips, have the opportunity to vote at this polling station.

The embassy said a high turnout is observed at the electoral venue.

Voting at the polling station will run until 8 pm local time.
