Electric shock claims life of Armenian soldier in Syunik region
An Armenian soldier tragically passed away after being electrocuted in a military unit near Meghri in the Syunik (Zangezur) region.
The soldier, identified as Karen Avetisyan, had been serving in the military for approximately 10 months before the fatal incident, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
The Armenian Defence Ministry confirmed that Avetisyan, a member of the N military unit, was found dead on May 13 at around 10:30 (GMT+4). The cause of death was determined to be an electric shock, though the circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear at this time. The ministry has launched an investigation to determine the exact details of the incident and to uncover the factors that led to the soldier's untimely death.
