Erdoğan and NATO Secretary General Rutte discuss regional security
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss key issues on NATO’s agenda, as well as broader regional and global developments.
During the call, President Erdoğan emphasised Türkiye’s close monitoring of ongoing regional conflicts and underlined the importance of diplomacy in achieving lasting and sustainable peace, Caliber.Az, citing the Turkish president’s office.
He also highlighted the preparations for the upcoming NATO Leaders’ Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Ankara, noting that Türkiye will host the event in full accordance with its responsibilities.
Secretary General Rutte affirmed NATO’s commitment to ensuring the security of its allies from a comprehensive, 360-degree perspective, signalling continued cooperation and strategic alignment within the alliance.
