Erdogan awards Azerbaijani ambassador, rescuers for earthquake relief

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has awarded Azerbaijani ambassador to the country Rashad Mammadov the state medal "For Distinguished Services" for support in eliminating the consequences of the devastating earthquake that hit Türkiye on February 6.

The head of state presented the ambassador with the medal and a diploma on April 25, Anadolu Agency reports.

The Turkish president also awarded a group of Azerbaijani rescuers and representatives of other countries.
