Erdogan backs Trump's Ukraine peace vision at NATO summit

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Türkiye supports US President Donald Trump's approach to achieving a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, reaffirming Ankara's commitment to backing Kyiv while maintaining dialogue with Moscow.

Speaking at the opening of the NATO summit's plenary session in Ankara, Erdogan said he shares Trump's vision for ending the war, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

"I share Trump's vision of peace and express my support for the initiative to compile lists of Ukraine's priority needs. In addition to the military assistance we provide to Ukraine from our national stockpiles, we are also keeping communication channels with Russia open in order to encourage it toward peace," Erdogan said.
