Erdogan declares 7-day national mourning in Türkiye

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared national mourning in the country until February 12 due to the strongest earthquake since 1939 which claimed thousands of lives.
“On February 6, 2023, a seven-day national mourning was declared in connection with the earthquakes that occurred in our country. Our flags will be flown at half-staff before sunset on February 12 throughout our state and in our foreign missions,” Erdogan wrote on Twitter, Caliber.Az reports.
