Erdogan: No unsolvable problems between Türkiye and Greece

07 December 2023 17:25

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan summed up the results of his negotiations with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Gazeta.ru reports.

This is the second visit of the Turkish president to Athens in 70 years.

Erdogan said that there are no problems between Türkiye and Greece that cannot be resolved.

On December 6, the Turkish leader announced that following the meeting of the Supreme Cooperation Council, he would sign a Declaration on Friendly Relations and Good Neighborliness with Greece.

In March 2023, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that recently there had been a certain de-escalation in relations between Athens and Ankara. In his opinion, this was facilitated by a series of earthquakes in Türkiye and a train accident in northern Greece.
