Erdoğan on Turkish military plane crash: Coordinating closely with Baku and Tbilisi VIDEO
Turkish authorities are working closely with officials in Azerbaijan and Georgia following the crash of a Turkish Air Force military transport plane near the border between the two countries, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan declared.
Speaking at an urbanisation summit in Ankara, President Erdoğan expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, as per Turkish media.
“With deep sorrow, I received the news of the crash of a Turkish Air Force military transport plane on the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan. We are in close coordination with the authorities of both countries regarding search and rescue efforts,” Erdoğan said.
The Turkish leader confirmed that there were casualties but did not provide an exact number, adding: “I hope that human losses as a result of this incident will be minimal.”
