Erdogan's Asian tour continues with a key visit to Indonesia
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Indonesia, marking the second stop on his Asian tour after Malaysia.
Erdogan was warmly welcomed at Halim Perdanakusuma Military Airport in Jakarta by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Turkish Ambassador to Jakarta Talip Küçükcan, and other officials, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Tomorrow, President Erdogan will hold a private meeting with President Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Bogor City.
The Turkish leader is also set to participate in the inaugural meeting of the High-Level Cooperation Council, attend the signing ceremony of several agreements, and join a joint press conference.
To recap, on February 10, Erdoğan arrived in the capital of Malaysia, for an official visit as part of a four-day tour of Southeast Asia aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
During his visit, he addressed civil servants and students at a meeting titled “Strategic Partnership between Türkiye and Malaysia in the New Century".
Erdoğan will conclude his trip to Islamabad with another such meeting in Pakistan.
