Erdoğan signals new era in Türkiye-Hungary relations President holds call with PM-elect Magyar on future cooperation
Türkiye aims to further develop an enhanced strategic partnership with Hungary and actively cooperate with it on international platforms, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said during a phone call with Péter Magyar, leader of Hungary’s Tisza Party, which won the parliamentary elections.
During the conversation, the two leaders discussed the future of bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
Erdoğan stressed that the strength of ties between the two countries is based on shared history and culture, expressing confidence that cooperation both bilaterally and on international platforms will continue to expand more actively.
He added that Türkiye is committed to deepening its strategic partnership with Hungary, noting that the two countries’ NATO membership contributes to regional and global peace.
