Erdoğan: Türkiye determined to stay out of current Middle East conflict
25 March 2026 00:06
Türkiye is firmly committed to remaining outside the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, Anadolu reports.
“We are determined to keep our country out of this ring of fire. We strongly do not want the war to turn into a war of attrition between countries in the region,” the Turkish leader stated.
Erdogan emphasised that, amid the conflict, Türkiye intends to make sovereign decisions guided by its own interests. He noted that the parties involved in the conflict employ tactics to try to draw other countries in, but Ankara has successfully avoided these “traps.”
