EU, Armenia hold talks on unblocking regional communications
On August 6, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan held a meeting with the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vasilis Maragos.
The Armenian government's press office confirmed the meeting took place, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media outlets.
Discussions focused on key issues currently shaping Armenia-EU cooperation. The two sides also reviewed the status of agreements reached during Grigoryan's recent visit to Brussels and Luxembourg, which took place from July 15 to 17.
Both Grigoryan and Maragos exchanged views on developments in the region, jointly underlining the importance of unblocking transportation and communication routes and expanding economic cooperation. They stressed that such efforts are essential for ensuring sustainable development across the region.
The talks also addressed the ongoing negotiations over visa liberalisation between Armenia and the European Union. The officials reviewed the progress made thus far and the ongoing work in this direction.
