EU donates demining vehicle to Armenia

Armenia has received a remotely operated demining vehicle from the European Union to support humanitarian mine clearance in hazardous areas across the country.

The approximately 20-tonne vehicle will assist in clearing land designated as dangerous due to the presence of mines and unexploded ordnance, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.

Armenia is also expected to receive two fully equipped ambulances in the near future, in addition to a second remotely operated demining vehicle.

The equipment will also be used during the ongoing process of border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the reports said.
