EU Monitoring Mission conducts observations on Azerbaijan-Armenia border
The European Union Monitoring Mission in Armenia has once again conducted observations along the conditional border with Azerbaijan, focusing on areas adjacent to the Gubadli and Lachin districts.
On March 28, EU observers arrived in the border zone and carried out monitoring activities using binoculars. Azerbaijani border guards recorded the actions of the mission during their presence in the area, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia regularly conducts such observations along the border with Azerbaijan. Information and relevant footage from these monitoring activities are frequently disseminated in the media.
The mission, which consists of 200 personnel, was initially deployed to Armenia in 2023 to monitor the security situation in the region. Its mandate has been extended until February 19, 2027.
