EU to hold discussions on visa liberalisation for Armenia
Head of the Armenian Parliamentary Commission on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan has said that the issue of launching negotiations on visa liberalisation with Armenia is on the agenda of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
"The issues of starting a dialogue on visa liberalization for Armenia, as well as providing assistance to Armenia through the European Instrument for Peace are included in the agenda of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting to be held on July 22. Decisions on these two items will be made on the same day," Egoyan wrote on Facebook (banned in Russia; owned by Meta Corporation, recognised as extremist in Russia), Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Earlier, Armenian media disseminated information that on July 17 the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the Council of the European Union discussed the issue of visa liberalisation with Armenia and approved the European Commission's proposal to start negotiations with Armenia on visa liberalisation.
