EU to provide over €200 million for Armenia’s economic development
The European Union will allocate more than €200 million to support Armenia’s economic growth and reforms, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos announced during a press conference in Yerevan alongside Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
Kos said the funding is part of the second phase of the EU’s programme designed to enhance Armenia’s sustainability and growth. She noted that the funds would be directed toward investments in communications, sustainability initiatives, and business development, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The commissioner explained that the programme is aimed at backing reforms in key sectors critical to Armenia’s development. She added that, in this context, Brussels and Yerevan had agreed to convene a high-level conference to advance cooperation.
