Euronews adds Kazakh to its broadcast network
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has welcomed the launch of Euronews broadcasting in the Kazakh language during a meeting with Pedro Vargas David, Chairman of the Euronews Board of Directors, as the two sides discussed expanding media cooperation.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between Kazakhstan and one of the world's leading international news networks, as well as promoting broader coverage of the country and the Central Asian region, Caliber.Az report, citing Kazakh media.
Tokayev said Euronews has earned a reputation as a credible international media outlet through its objective and impartial reporting on global events.
The president described the introduction of Kazakh-language broadcasting as a significant milestone and a clear demonstration of the successful and mutually beneficial partnership between Kazakhstan and the network.
Pedro Vargas David noted that Kazakh will become the first Central Asian language to be added to the Euronews broadcasting network.
The parties also discussed future joint initiatives aimed at increasing international coverage of developments in Kazakhstan and Central Asia while enhancing the region's visibility in the global information space.
