28 April 2026 23:11
Parliament has approved Gela Geladze as head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Sputnik Georgia reports.
Geladze was nominated for the post last week after it was announced that the current head of the agency, Mamuka Mdinaradze, would take up the position of State Minister for the Coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies.
Prior to his appointment, Geladze had served as Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs since May 2025. Before that, he was deputy head of the State Security Service.
