Ex-PM: Pashinyan's rule marked by loss of territories, allies
The years of Pashinyan's rule in Armenia were marked by the loss of territories and allies, former Armenian Prime Minister and leader of the Freedom Party Hrant Bagratyan said.
"From the political point of view, Armenia has suffered only losses: we have lost territories, we have quarrelled with Russia and Belarus, we have not found new allies. Moreover, on the contrary, our positions even weakened. By the way, this is a very interesting political phenomenon: our authority in the non-Russian camp was many times higher when we had strong ties with Russia. So, when we lost this connection, our point of view was no longer taken into account here either," Bagratyan said on the air of the “Pressing” program, Caliber.Az reports.
The loss of an ally in the person of Moscow and the de facto refusal of Prime Minister Pashinyan from Russia's mediation led to the fact that the West, which is naturally interested in facilitating its mediation efforts at the expense of concessions of Yerevan, started to dictate its own conditions to Armenia, In this context, Bagratyan views Pashinyan's willingness to recognise Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan.
