Explosion at Belgorod arms depot

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reports several people were killed and injured after an explosion at an ammunition depot in the Russian Belgorod region after supposed shelling by Ukraine.

TASS reported on October 14 of this incident, citing information provided at the committee’s press briefing.

“In the Oktyabrskiy village of the Belgorod district, an ammunition depot was blown up as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to preliminary data, there are dead and wounded", the press statement says.

Russian law enforcement agencies report that members of the "Rosgvardia" (National Guard Forces) are among the dead.

The Head of the Investigative Committee, Aleksandr Bastyrkin ordered a criminal investigation to be conducted in relation to the depot shelling.
