Explosion at gas station near Yerevan leaves one injured

An explosion occurred today at a gas station in the Armenian town of Abovyan, located near Yerevan, injuring one person, according to local media, cited by Caliber.Az.

Preliminary information indicates that the incident was caused when a station employee lit a cigarette, triggering the explosion.

The injured man was taken to Yerevan’s National Burn Center, where authorities described his condition as serious.

An investigation has been launched, and a criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident.
