Explosion at southern Iran gas refinery injures three workers

An explosion during debris removal operations at a war-damaged gas refinery in southern Iran injured three workers on May 25, according to a spokesperson for the South Pars Gas Complex.

The incident occurred while crews were carrying out cleanup work at the facility, which had previously sustained damage during recent hostilities in the region, Iran International reports.

The spokesperson said emergency response and firefighting teams at the refinery quickly contained the blaze following the explosion.
