Explosion hits children's store in Moscow A visitor burned to death

An explosion occurred at the Central Children’s Store (TsDM) in Moscow, Russia, resulting in casualties, local emergency services said.

“An explosion took place on the second floor of the Central Children’s Store. Smoke is visible. There are casualties,” the report said, Caliber.Az writes via Russian media.

Evacuation of the building is underway, according to emergency services.

Preliminary information suggests that the incident may have been caused by the depressurisation of a gas cylinder.

Russian media reported that after the explosion, one visitor caught fire. Bystanders managed to extinguish the flames, but according to early reports, the victim died. Another person is reported injured.
