Factory blaze destroys three production units in Iran VIDEO
A large fire has broken out at a plant in the city of Ashkezar in Iran’s Yazd province, fully destroying three production sections of the complex.
The fire remains out of control, and efforts to extinguish it have so far been unsuccessful, Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.
Local officials said the blaze erupted in the steel industrial estate on Nedoushan Road, where three paper- and carton-production units—classified as cellulose and plastic facilities—were engulfed.
Initial assessments indicate that the fire may have originated in the waste-storage area of a paper-manufacturing plant, although the exact cause remains under investigation.
Firefighting teams from the Ashkezar industrial zone, Ashkezar city, and Yazd were deployed to the site as authorities reported a high fire load and ongoing efforts to secure the perimeter.
No casualties have been reported, and the extent of material damage has not yet been determined.
