Fallen Armenian soldiers' families protest PM’s visit to army cemetery
Relatives of Armenian soldiers who lost their lives during the 44-day war have staged a protest at the Yerablur military pantheon, vowing to prevent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and other government officials from entering the site.
Parents and family members have been at the pantheon since the previous night, expressing their discontent with the government's handling of recent conflicts, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
The protest coincides with Armenia's Independence Day, as representatives from various public organizations, opposition leaders, and citizens began arriving at Yerablur early in the morning to pay their respects to the fallen.
Among the attendees is Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, who leads the revanchist movement, further intensifying the atmosphere of dissent surrounding Pashinyan's planned visit.
