Fire at restaurant in northeast China’s Liaoning province kills 22, injures 3
A devastating fire at a restaurant in Liaoyang, located in northeast China's Liaoning province, has resulted in the deaths of 22 people and left three others injured.
The blaze, which erupted at approximately 12:25 p.m. local time (0425 GMT), prompted immediate emergency responses and widespread concern across the region, Caliber.Az reports via Chinese media.

The fire quickly engulfed the restaurant, trapping many inside. By 2:00 p.m., the death toll had risen to 22, with the injured victims receiving treatment for their injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, though authorities have vowed to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
In response to the disaster, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his condolences and directed authorities to make all-out efforts in providing medical treatment for the injured.
