Blaze engulfs Marine Oil Terminal in Crimea’s Feodosia PHOTO
A fire has been reported at the Marine Oil Terminal facility in Feodosia, Crimea, according to multiple sources, including geolocated footage verified by ASTRA and thermal anomaly data from NASA FIRMS.
Local authorities blocked roads near the oil depot, while no official cause of the incident has been disclosed so far.
Earlier, on April 23, the Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ claimed that the site in Russian-occupied Crimea was struck by drones. Russia’s Defence Ministry, however, said it had intercepted drones over the Black Sea and Crimea without specifying numbers.
The Ukrainian General Staff has previously described the facility as a key logistical hub for fuel supplies by sea to Crimea and other occupied territories in southern Ukraine.
ASTRA also reported that earlier imagery showed destroyed fuel tanks at the site and a Pantsir air defence system positioned on elevated ground within the terminal area. On April 16, Ukrainian forces released footage claiming the destruction of a Pantsir-S1 system at the same location.
