Fire breaks out on commercial vessels in southern Iran port

Several commercial vessels caught fire in the port city of Bandar Deyr in southern Iran, according to a report by Mehr News Agency.

“At present, two commercial fibreglass vessels have caught fire, and firefighters are trying to extinguish the blaze. The fire on one of the vessels is almost under control. Two wooden vessels located next to the burning boats also caught fire due to the spread of the flames; firefighting operations are ongoing,” the agency said.

Emergency response teams, including fire services, were deployed to the scene and are continuing efforts to contain the fire.

The cause of the incident has not yet been determined.
