Fire engulfs multiple yachts at Marina in southern Türkiye
A major fire has broken out among yachts at Yalıkavak Marina in Bodrum.
Preliminary information suggests the blaze began following an explosion on one of the vessels. The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.
Strong winds rapidly spread the flames to nearby boats, with at least five yachts—each approximately 20 metres in length—catching fire. Emergency response teams, including firefighters, police, and medical personnel, were dispatched to the scene.
Coast guard units and marina security teams also joined the operation from the water, working to contain the fire. However, gusty conditions have complicated firefighting efforts, at times intensifying the flames.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties, and authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
