Fire erupts at waste recycling plant in Türkiye’s Samsun province PHOTO

A fire broke out at a waste recycling plant in the Bafra district of Samsun, TRT Haber reports.

The blaze quickly spread to other parts of the facility.

Following the announcement of the incident, firefighting units, rescue teams of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), and the gendarmerie were dispatched to the scene.

Thanks to the determined efforts of emergency teams, the fire was brought under control. Cooling and waste disposal operations are continuing at the plant.
