Fires break out in Odesa port area after Russian drone attack photo
Russian forces launched a drone attack overnight targeting both port and residential infrastructure in Ukraine’s Odesa region, according to regional authorities.
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said the strikes caused multiple fires and structural damage.
In the port area, containers and four passenger vehicles caught fire, while two hangars were damaged. In nearby residential areas, a private house sustained damage to its facade, roof, and windows, and an unfinished structure was destroyed. Fires also broke out on a balcony and a gas pipe in a multi-apartment building.
Kiper said all fires were later extinguished and confirmed that no casualties were reported. Emergency services are continuing efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
