Five killed, dozens injured as bus overturns in Türkiye's Genç PHOTO

A tragic accident occurred in Türkiye, at the exit of the Doğanca district in Genç, on the Bingöl - Diyarbakir highway.

The driver of a passenger bus operated by Mardin Seyahat, with the registration number 33 CPU 60, lost control while travelling on the Şınak - Erzurum route, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

The bus overturned into a ditch, resulting in five fatalities and 31 injuries.

Upon receiving the alert, multiple emergency teams, including medical personnel, police, gendarmerie, and AFAD, were dispatched to the scene. 

After receiving first aid, many of the injured were taken to Genç and Bingöl state hospitals for further treatment.

Governor Ahmet Hamdi Usta, accompanied by Brigadier General Bilgihan Yeşilyurt, the provincial gendarmerie commander, and Genç Prefect Muhammet Güzel, visited the accident site to oversee the ongoing investigation and inspections.
