Five killed, five injured in shooting incident in northwestern Türkiye
A shooting in the Serdivan district of Sakarya province on the northwestern edge of Türkiye has resulted in at least five fatalities and five injuries.
The incident unfolded as a violent confrontation between two neighboring families escalated into a gunfight, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media outlets.
Both families involved in the altercation opened fire using pistols. Local authorities responded promptly, with police and emergency medical teams dispatched to the scene. The five deceased and the five injured victims were quickly taken to the hospital for treatment, although their conditions remain undisclosed.
In connection with the incident, four individuals have been detained, and four pistols were seized as evidence. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deadly altercation.
