FM: Armenia gets Azerbaijan's response to peace treaty proposals
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has said that Armenia has received a response from Azerbaijan to its proposals on a peace treaty.
Mirzoyan made these remarks during an interview with the Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports.
“As is known, we submitted our proposals to Azerbaijan on the normalisation of relations or a draft peace treaty, and have recently received its answers. Therefore, the discussions will continue,” the minister said.
He noted that the Armenian side hopes to reach a consensus as soon as possible, and the mediation efforts of international partners can also play an important role in this process.
The foreign minister also noted that Yerevan once again expresses its readiness to organise a meeting of the leaders of the two countries within an acceptable time frame.
Mirzoyan added that an agreement on holding the next meeting was reached during the talks in Prague in early October.
“The Armenian side is committed to this agreement and is also interested in normalising relations,” he said.
