FM: Germany welcomes historic step towards peace between Azerbaijan, Armenia
Germany has expressed its support for the announcement made by Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding the completion of negotiations on a peace treaty.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has commented on the development on X, stating that the progress made between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the peace treaty is a source of hope, Caliber.Az reports.

"After decades of conflict, a sustainable peace has become a reality. This is significant not only for the region but also beyond. After extensive negotiations, Armenia's courageous concessions have made this final step towards peace possible, a journey we have supported both countries in," Baerbock noted.
She urged both nations to sign the peace treaty, highlighting the importance of this development for long-term stability.
Note that, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed on March 13 that negotiations on the draft Agreement on Peace and the Establishment of Interstate Relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia have concluded, with both sides agreeing on the text, marking a significant step in the peace process.
Pashinyan, speaking to journalists, assured that while the full text has not been publicly released, key details have been shared transparently. He mentioned that discussions on the timing and location for signing the agreement would soon begin.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has also expressed readiness to engage in further discussions, stressing that amendments to Armenia’s constitution and the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group are crucial conditions for the agreement's signing.
