FMs from EU member states to discuss situation in Georgia following election
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has said that foreign ministers from EU member states will discuss the situation in Georgia following the parliamentary election at a meeting on November 18.
The European ministers will finalise their stance on the outcomes of the elections in Georgia after receiving the final report from the OSCE, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
The EU urges a thorough investigation into all violations revealed during the Georgian election.
On October 26, Georgia held parliamentary election, with nearly 20 parties competing for seats in the parliament, which comprises 150 members. The ruling "Georgian Dream" party in power for 12 consecutive years, has emerged victorious with 54.3 per cent of the votes after processing 90 per cent of the ballots.
