Forbes: Ülker CEO tops list of Türkiye's richest people
Forbes magazine has published the names of the 10 richest people in Türkiye in 2023.
SASA head Ibrahim Erdemoglu, who was Türkiye's richest man last year, lost half of his fortune in a year and was overtaken as leader by Murat Ulker to take 5th place on the list, Cumhuriyet reported.
The top three included:
- Murat Ulker, head of the Turkish food conglomerate Ülker, topped the list with a fortune of $5.2 billion.
- Sevim Arsel - the richest woman in Türkiye, member of the board of directors of the financial and industrial holding Koç ($3 billion);
- Ipek Kıraç is a Turkish businesswoman, also a member of the board of directors of Koç Holding ($2.9 billion).
The rest are in the following order:
Mustafa Rahmi Koç ($2.6 billion)
Ibrahim Erdemoglu ($2.5 billion)
Erman Ilicak ($2.4 billion)
Ferit Faik Shahenk ($2.4 billion)
Filiz Shahenk ($2.2 billion)
Ali Erdemoglu ($2.2 billion)
Nihat Ozdemir ($2 billion).
