Former Armenian deputy defence minister faces property seizure

Former Armenian Deputy Defence Minister Artur Agabekyan may have several real estate properties and $92,000 confiscated as illegal assets, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted a lawsuit filed by the prosecution, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
Authorities have proposed seizing from Agabekyan and his associates three real estate properties, the right to buy four additional properties in Yerevan, the market value of one property, three vehicles, stakes in four companies, and the specified cash.
Agabekyan served as Deputy Minister of Defence from 2000 to 2007 and was a member of the National Assembly from 2007 to 2012.
